Coach Kwame grew up on the Caribbean island of Trinidad and had big dreams of playing high level basketball in America. He persuaded his parents to let him attend a basketball camp in Indiana the summer prior to his junior year in high school. At that camp Kwame was discovered by the legendary basketball coach Bobby Knight and was offered a Division I Basketball scholarship. Kwame transferred to the legendary Lawrence North H.S. that produced stars like Mike Conley and Greg Oden in Indianapolis. Kwame was also recruited by over 35 Division I schools. Kwame chose the University of Evansville, Indiana, where he was a Starter for three years. He was the Starting center on the 1999 MVC Regular Season Champion. That same year he also led the MVC in field goal percentage. Kwame played in the NCAA Tournament vs Kansas in 1999. Coach Kwame went on to play 7 years of professional basketball around the world primarily in Argentina and France. Coach Kwame has a strong passion for the game of Basketball and loves to teach the fundamentals of the game to the next generation of Stars. Over the years Kwame has trained, mentored and coached youth athletes that went on to play Division I Basketball. Coach Kwame has three beautiful kids and a wonderful wife and enjoys producing music as a hobby.
